YOUR DONATIONS ARE NEEDED TO HELP AS MANY HOMELESS BORDER COLLIES AS POSSIBLE

**IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING REOPENING OF NEBCR**
The NEBCR Board of Directors considers it a high priority to ensure that all our volunteers stay as safe and healthy as possible while doing our best to ensure the health and safety of the general public we interact with. We have resumed daily operations, but out of an abundance of caution, we have implemented some temporary changes to our policies and procedures. They will remain in place until such time that public health authorities in all of the states we operate in determine that it is safe for the general public to suspend current CDC guidelines and travel and interact freely.
We ask that all relinquishing owners/shelters/rescues and potential adopters review these policies and procedures (link below). Your compliance will be required in order for NEBCR to assist you with relinquishing a dog or adopting a dog from us.
COVID-19 Policies & Procedures
We realize that our ability to take in dogs may be limited more than usual due to COVID-19 but we will do our very best to help if we can.

We have tried to provide you as much information

Collies as a breed, the dogs
we rescue and our adoption

on that dog, as he/she has the most current
information and will be the person directly
involved in making the placement decision for
that dog.
FOR GENERAL BORDER
COLLIE INFORMATION, PLEASE REVIEW THIS WEBSITE.
We have done a lot of work compiling
information to give you the best possible picture
of what Border Collies are like as a breed,
how to determine whether a Border Collie is
the right dog for you, and how to adopt a Border
Collie from NEBCR. As our volunteer resources
are limited and often taken up caring for dogs
in need, we appreciate your assistance in using
this website as your primary resource for obtaining
this information.

Privacy Policy
POTENTIAL ADOPTERS:
While we do occasionally receive requests from other
rescue groups to share home visit reports (and will
do so ONLY with the applicant's permission), we feel
that it is the responsibility of each individual rescue
group to properly screen their own adopters according
to their specific policies and operating procedures.
Any application submitted to NEBCR is kept private
to the group, and your information will not be shared
elsewhere.
RELINQUISHING OWNERS:
It is against our policy to provide you with specific
information on the person that fosters or adopts your
dog. You will be required to sign a relinquishment
agreement in which you give up all rights of ownership
of your dog to the care of NEBCR, Inc. You will not
have input as to who fosters or adopts your dog in
the future, and you must trust that we will make all
decisions in your dog's best interests, based on our
MANY years of experience in rescue and with Border
Collies as a breed. We can provide you with general
updates on your dog's well-being only if you contact
us in the future. IF an adopter wishes to be in contact
with you, we can pass along your information to them,
but it will be their decision.
ADOPTERS: We will
not give out your personal or contact information
to the previous owner of the dog you have adopted
without your permission.
ALL WEB VIEWERS:
NEBCR, Inc. will NEVER sell or distribute the personal
information submitted via our adoption application,
foster home application, volunteer application or
through our online store, to ANY third party. Such
information will be retained solely for the use of
New England Border Collie Rescue, Inc. (NEBCR)
